What is poverty? Is it just a lack of means or is there more to it? In the documentary ‘The Missing Link’ Fabio Wuytack investigates the inside of poverty, in the dregs of our welfare society.
The film was a great succes at the premiere in Brussels and has been subtitled in Bulgarian, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish.

The Missing Link is selected as one of the 39 best practices examples in the in the EUCIS-LLL publication of social inclusion.
“EUCIS-LLL (European Civil Society Platform on Lifelong Learning) releases its publication on the social dimension of education and training. It calls for a stronger political commitment in the fight against poverty and exclusion at EU and national level. In times of socio-economic crisis and of constant change, it is vital to invest in European citizens, the best capital of Europe, and support initiatives that aim to correct social, economic and cultural inequalities”.
“The European Civil Society Platform on Lifelong Learning(EUCIS-LLL) brings together 24 European networks working in education and training. Together, they cover all sectors of education and training including networks for higher education, vocational education and training, adult education and popular education; networks for students, school heads, parents, HRD professionals, teachers and trainers”.

We have some great news about the final meeting on september 21 in Brussels:
- The partner organisations are invited for coffee by Flemish Vice-Minister-President Ingrid Lieten at her office (11:00).
- The Flemish Vice-Minister-President Ingrid Lieten will join us in the press conference (12:30).
- European Commissioner László Andor has confirmed his speech on the meeting (14:05)!
- The first screening of the film The Missing Link by Fabio Wuytack was wonderful. The persons present spoke about the first documentary with the real essence of social exclusion, the missing link and the power and strength of the people and experience experts. Our Final Meeting is your chance to view the film in premiere (14:30).
- We will provide simultaneous translation English to Dutch and Dutch to English for everybody.
